cpse evaluation

Little Village School offers the services of a multidisciplinary evaluation team  for children transitioning from Early Intervention to CPSE and children at risk for disabilities or developmental delays between the ages of 3-5

  • Evaluations can be conducted on premises, in the child’s home environment, or at the child’s school/daycare.
  • Evaluations are conducted throughout the school year and summer.

Referral Process
The Hagedorn Little Village School is a New York State Education Department approved preschool special education evaluation site. Our preschool evaluation site is under contract with Nassau and Suffolk County.  Our Committee for Preschool Special Education (CPSE) Evaluation Program assesses children between the ages of approximately two and a half years to five years old.  If you have any concerns regarding your child’s development in the areas of cognition, speech/language, fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, behavior, or hearing contact your school district's Committee for Preschool Special Education and request an evaluation for your child.  Your school district's CPSE will ask you to choose an evaluation site from a list of agencies approved by the New York State Education Department.  Should you choose The Hagedorn Little Village School, the referral will be sent to our school and you will promptly be contacted to schedule your child's evaluation(s).
