Position:         FULL TIME HR Associate

Hours:             Mon – Fri; 8am – 4pm (Calendar Schedule)

Job Summary/Requirements:         

This position will handle general HR duties including:

  • Coordinate/facilitate on-boarding of Independent Contractors, Fee-For-Service employees, student teachers & interns
  • Distribute and review Employment/Hiring Packages (update packages as necessary)
  • Meet with prospective employees/contractors
    • review and confirm receipt of required forms (state clearances, fingerprinting, medicals, insurance, etc.)
    • explain benefits where and if applicable, answer questions; perform reference checks as necessary
  • Enter initial employee/contractor information into electronic HR system 
  • Produce weekly and monthly compliance reports
  • Assist with maintaining and updating HLVS Employee Manual
  • Prepare and distribute departmental communications salary letters, lateness and attendance warnings, etc

Requirements: Must have one year of HR experience or a related 4 year degree. Must be reliable, confidential, team player, proficient in Word and Excel.

​Position: Custodian (Part Time)

Hours: M-F; 2 pm through 6 pm (4 hours per day)

Job Summary/Requirements:

  • This is a per diem position with an hourly rate of $12 - $15 depending on experience. This position does not include any benefits but may in the future.
  • Duties include pickup and emptying trash, cleaning and stocking rest rooms, light maintenance, painting and general cleaning and custodial duties. Handy with tools a plus.
  • Must be reliable; position available immediately.
  • Fingerprinting, initial medical exam and New York State criminal background check is mandatory.

Position:         FULL TIME HR Clerical Support

  • Maintain/update personnel files

Position:   Teacher Assistant/Teacher Aide  (multiple openings available)

Description:

  • This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to enter the field of special education and work collaboratively with teachers and therapists
  • Full time/part time positions available; Immediate/September Openings
  • Positions are Monday through Friday; hours vary/flexible
  • 10 month school calendar plus a 6 week summer session; full time salaried staff  are paid for all school breaks/holidays

Job Summary/Requirements:

Duties include working on social, emotional and academic development of students, and assisting children with personal care (i.e., toileting, feeding, handling)
  • Must be cooperative, reliable and dependable
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus
  • Bi-lingual a plus

Position:       Leave Replacement Speech Language Pathologist (Late September 2018 through Early January 2019) 


​Position Overview: 

  • Leave replacement (Late September 2018 through Early January 2019) Speech Language Pathologist for The Hagedorn Little Village School in Seaford, NY for children with developmental disabilities ranging in age from 2 to 12 years. (www.littlevillage.org); this position could lead to a full time position.
  • Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00-4:00
  • Late September 2018 start date (candidates must be available for immediate      interviews.
  • Fingerprinting, initial medical exam and New York State criminal background check is mandatory.
  • Salary range (54,000-66,000) commensurate with experience. 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • NYSED certification required.
  • TSSH or TSSLD
  • ASHA certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Knowledge of ABA methodology a plus
  • PROMPT trained a plus
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills.
