Caryl Bank, Ph.D., Executive Director, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University, a Masters degree in Special Education from City College, a Masters degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from New York University. She is New York State certified in Education and Clinical Social Work, as well as Administration and Supervision. In addition, Caryl is a Diplomate of the New York State Society of Clinical Social Work Psychotherapists.

Barbara Feingold, Ph.D. Executive Director, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in from New York University and a Doctorate in Psychology from Hofstra University. She is certified in Special Education and Administration and Supervision. Barbara is New York State certified school psychologist and a licensed clinical psychologist.

Together, Caryl Bank and Barbara Feingold founded Little Village School in 1969 and Little Village House in 1989. At the time the School was founded, there were limited facilities in Nassau County for the education of youngsters with developmental disabilities. Little Village House was the first Intermediate Care Facility for young children in Nassau County. Caryl and Barbara are both members of many professional organizations and are frequently asked to speak and present papers at professional workshops and conferences. They each have their own private practice.

The Little Village Staff includes certified special education teachers, teacher assistants, and aides. Little Village School staff includes licensed physical and occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, play and movement therapists, the school nurse, psychologists, as well as social workers. Interdisciplinary meetings are regularly scheduled with the total educational/therapeutic team and the administration to discuss the needs of each child.

Little Village School has an absolute charter from the New York State Board of Regents and is approved as a preschool and elementary aged school by the New York State Education Department.

The Infant Program and Infant Evaluation Services are approved by the New York State Department of Health.

Little Village School is a New York State Department of Education approved preschool evaluation site for children with developmental disabilities.
